Auburn Tigers won the BCS Championship 2011 with the leadership in the offense by Cam Newton and Fairley in the defensive line-up. The game was tight until the end and Oregon Tigers tied the game with 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter. With hope of getting the game on their hands, Oregon failed to protect the yards and the game ended with the 19-yard field goal by Wes Byrum.
